Where it all started — Suzhou
A tiny shop inside a 500-year-old garden.
The Garden Guardians were born at the Humble Administrator's Garden (拙政园) in Suzhou, and that's still where you'll find their little home — a corner of the garden's own gift shop. Visitors wander out with a sealed box, open it on the bridge, and go looking for the stone or the window that inspired whoever they got. It's our favourite way to meet a character.
